As the sales of the new OS for mobile phones have amazingly increased all around the world, it's high time to make a brief review of Google Android.

In November of 2007 Google announced a contest «Android Developer Challenge» with a $10 million prize fund.

The task for participants was to develop the best application for mobile phones. All kinds of applications were acceptable but innovativeness and utility of developing applications were in favor.
Social networks, operating with information (e.g. pictures), å-mail, IM/calendar, games, news, re-thinking of interface are among the spheres of the application development.
The registration of participants was held from January, 2nd to April 14th at code.google.com

Apple announced a new software platform — iPhone OS 3.0. The mobile operating system is used in iPhone and iPod Touch. 30 millions of these devices were sold in 2008.
The last year SDK was downloaded more than 800 thousand times, for today about 50 thousand professional programmers work on program development. More than 1000 new API-functions were added into iPhone OS. The possibility of developing programs for reading electronic books and magazines has appeared.

The long-expected novelty, iPhone 3G, has become a real challenge for Apple. The company was to solve a number of problems with their first iPhone and develop a new version that could satisfy all the customers' needs.
And Apple did cope with it. A new updated iPhone 3G was released in a year. And it was a success. However, some drawbacks were still found.

With the release of MonoTouch platform the Kruger’s game has changed dramatically. "It was like a love at the first glance" - Frank mentions. The new MonoTouch platform brings such powerful possibilities so that he could with ease replace C++ and Objective C by more advanced level of C# and use the wide portfolio of libraries provided by .NET platform. The MonoTouch also includes many C# bindings and replacements for absolutely all the structures of CocoaTouch API. Note that such bindings along with the interactive development environment like MonoDevelop are free of charge. They are open source and were designed specifically for C# and other programming languages. This is what allowed Kruger to verify syntax and debug easily. There is also a number of available classes that are provided by the platform and can be immediately used. As this is so important and needed necessary when you are using software development environment to build products of such a scale.

Today, two of the world's largest software developers - Google and Oracle - are in competition for the 1 billion struggle reason - use Google Java in Android operating system.

If you look back you can see that Instagram - a unique acquisition Facebook has forever left a mark in history. This is sort of a symbolic moment after the death of Steve Jobs. Start making an application that will accompany an Android platform and iOS platform. Also, the application must be optimized to design principles and expectations of the user’s interaction. All of this is unique to each platform. Please note that the Android and iOS environments are based on the guidelines - unique to each platform as well. There are many common features of Android and iOS, for example the behavior of the various components of the user interface, controls and navigation based on the list. And in many gestures touch control if not to take into account the team "tap and hold" which often meant to call the mode choice of data or content panel.
